New Follygon Tutorials: Blockout and Refinement

Hey all! I wanted to tell you about my two new tutorials. Both of them delve deep into the process of creating base meshes and blockouts. Then follow up with the next steps of where you go from there with refinement. These tutorials are awesome for beginners and advanced users alike. I go into a ton of in depth, real time detail in both of these tutorials and you can read about each below to find out more!

Creating Character Base Meshes and Blockouts

In this tutorial I will be going in depth on the process for creating a base mesh/ blockout from scratch.

We will begin by looking at foundational concepts to better understand our process. With the correct mindset and tools for the job, we will then proceed to practice these ideas in an actionable way by creating simple forms in a character's leg. Finally I will walk you through the step by step process of creating a complete base mesh/ blockout from beginning to end.

I want to redefine what we consider a good base. Why? Because the early stages of form creation are hands down the most important part of the process. In short, it is the foundation.

Character Refinement and Secondary Forms

So You've Created a Blockout, Now What?

In this tutorial we will be taking an in depth look at Character Refinement and Secondary Forms.

I am always talking about how Primary form is the most important part of the sculpting process. But what are you supposed to do once that is finished? Well you're in luck, because that is exactly what I will be covering in this tutorial!
